Profile Sander
The profile sander is used for both moldings and cabinet doors, when the profile has to be sanded before the stain and sealer coat is applied. The important part about profile sanding is to have a smooth profile on MDF or wood before finishing. If your profile is not smooth before the stain and sealer is applied you will have to sand even more in the sealer and risk breaking though edges and white lining your profile.
So the answer is a profile sander to run your moldings though, we got a molding sander that will do the trick for you removing loose fibers and some knife marks (please send samples to test with your profiles). The new profile sanders uses brush backed abrasives for a firm sand that will flex to what ever profile you have. You can make your own profile sander if you want to and just use our brush back abrasive just call in with your shaft/spindle diameter.
