Scratch For Adhesion

By admin • January 7th, 2009

QuickWood has a lot of customers using the QuickWood automatic machines as a scratching machine to achieve Adhesion on the next coat.  The process of using random orbital hand sanders to make a rand scratch pattern on a product to achieve adhesion for the next coat can only be used in very small operations as the manual labor will kill an operation like this if any product should be done. The process of producing a random scratch on a surface that is flat or a surface that has profiles is what the automatic quickwood machines does. The machines are anywhere from 12″ to 51″ in width as a standard and special wider machines can also be made. The machine can put a random scratch in the surface at speeds of 10 to 50 feet per min. This will increase production and the labor savings are huge. The material the QuickWood machines will work on are Metal,Platstic,Fiberglass, composit material and wood.

Give us a call and we will tell you more about getting an automatic machine for creating radom scratches in a surface for adhesion.
