Universal Abor size
QuickWood has just introduced the new Quick-Abor Flange, making it easy to use any of the QuickWood flap wheels on any spindle that you might have for brush sanding.
The new universal abor comes with a solid plastic plate for drilling your own abor into the plate. Please see pictures below.
The universal abor fits on the normal QuickWood Hex hubs and the center can be drilled out in both ends of the adapter to any abor size you have from 1/4″ to 2″ round. This way QuickWood flap sanders can now be used with any spindle in your shop.
Spindle speed requirements:
It’s always best to have variable speed on a spindle for adjustments of the sanding the brush heads do, but we recommend a spindle speed between 300 rpm to 800 rpm for the best flap sanding.
Over all flap wheel diameter:
With a 28 segment hub, and 65mm (2.5″) brush/abrasives strips your over all flap head diameter will be 12″
We do offer a 20 segment hub, that will make the over all diameter 9″
The new Universal abor can be used with the Quick-Flex plastic hubs, that comes in 1″ sections and you can build any length hub size and it can be used with our Aluminum hubs used for bigger machines. The aluminum hubs comes in 4″ to 60″
